Along the right edge of the image is the Los Angeles River and early North Broadway and North Spring bridges. In this map current day North Spring Street is named San Fernando Street.

The first was painted from a pedestrian overpass of a large rail yard in the industrial section..." The features the Southern Pacific River Depot (Freight Yard), the North Broadway Street Bridge, the Charles Raphael Junction Block Building and the Verdugo Hills.
